VIEW/BID ON AUCTION AS IT CLOSES IN REAL TIME� Refer to Lot 5A for the Live Catalog - The "Live Catalog" is a special tile-based view that becomes available when the first lot of an auction is within 30 minutes of closing. The tiles are "live" meaning that they are receiving real-time updates. The times counts down, new bids & bid amounts get updated, the bidder's status updates (winning/losing), all without any manual refreshing. MAX BID AMOUNT If you are not going to be available when the auction ends you can place a max bid. You can enter the highest amount you are willing to pay, and the computer will automatically bid up to your max amount in the increments specified. EXAMPLE 1. If the bid is at $20 and if you put in a $250 max bid, you would be the high bid at $21, provided no one else has placed a higher bid. If the auction ends at $21 you would be the winner at $21. It will take someone else to bid against you to increase your bid. EXAMPLE 2. If the bid is at $20 and your max bid is $250 and someone else has placed a bid of $150, then your bid would be advanced to $151. And if the auction ends at $151 that is what you pay, not $250. It takes someone to bid against you to advance your bid, just like a live auction. RESERVE If there is a reserve on an item, the item will have an orange exclamation mark. Up until the reserve is met, you will be bidding against the reserve.
