Vintage Annin Sterling 48-Star American Flag – All Wool Bunting

Vintage 48-star United States flag manufactured by Annin under its Sterling line. Features all-wool bunting construction with sewn red and white stripes, blue canton with 48 stars arranged in six rows of eight, reinforced hoist with metal grommets, and original Annin Sterling manufacturer’s label. Marked 2½’ x 4’. The 48-star American flag was the official flag of the United States from 1912 until 1959. Shows age-related fading, discoloration, fraying and wear consistent with use and storage. Early-to-mid 20th century; possibly WWII-era.
